Doge 2048 is the Doge version of the classic 2048 puzzle game. Instead of numbers, every tile is a Doge, and every merge promotes two identical Shiba Inus into the next Doge in the chain. The rules are the same ones that made 2048 a phenomenon, the artwork is pure internet dog. It is free, runs in the browser and needs no download or sign-up.

How to play Doge 2048

Press an arrow key on desktop, or swipe in any direction on mobile.
Every tile on the board slides as far as it can in that direction.
When two identical Doges collide, they merge into the next Doge and add to your score.
A new Doge appears after every move, so the board fills up whenever you stop merging.
Unlock all 11 doges to win. The game ends when no move can merge or slide anything.

Tips for a higher score

Pick a corner and stay there. Keep your biggest Doge locked in one corner and build the row next to it.
Work in one direction. Using mostly two directions keeps your big tiles anchored instead of drifting into the middle.
Avoid the fourth direction. The move that shifts your anchor tile out of its corner is usually the move that ends the run.
Merge the small stuff early. Clearing pairs of low Doges keeps free squares open for the moves that matter.
Slow down. 2048 is not a reflex game. One careless swipe costs more than a slow minute.
